That is, it is believed that these two flowers may have blossomed at the foot of dinosaurs that once lived in present-day Myanmar. The condition of these well-preserved Burmese amber globes sheds light on how flowering plants came to be, CNN reports.

Researchers have named one of the flowers preserved in the Burmese amber globes 'Eophylica priscatellata'. The other is named 'Phylica piloburmensis'.

Amber fossils of the dinosaur period are not found everywhere on our planet. There are only a few forms in the state of Kutch in northern Myanmar.
