The Central Government has announced that those who have passed in Tamil can also apply for the post graduate course at the Central Archaeological Department College.
The Central College of Archeology in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, has recently announced that you can apply for a 2-year postgraduate degree in Archeology. It was stated that only those who are proficient in Pali and Arabic languages ​​can apply.

There was strong opposition in Tamil Nadu to the neglect of the Tamil language. Following this, a case was filed in the Madurai High Court branch seeking quashing of the Central Government's order. That case is due to come up for hearing today.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy wrote a letter to the Prime Minister requesting that Tamil, the first language in the country to be accorded classical status, be included in the qualification for postgraduate studies in the field of archeology. Leaders, including DMK chief Stalin, urged the central government to intervene in the matter.

The Director General of the Central Archaeological Department has announced that those who have mastered 10 traditional languages, including Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, can apply for the diploma course.
