Chennai: Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy held consultations with the ministers regarding the decision regarding the opening of schools and colleges.

The lockdown in Tamil Nadu has been extended till November 30 to control the spread of corona. Also, according to the recently announced relaxation, schools (9th, 10th, 11th and 12th class) colleges will be reopened from the 16th.

Although the spread of the corona virus in Tamil Nadu is coming under control day by day, academics and parents have commented that now is not the right time to open schools and colleges.

The Tamil Nadu government has agreed to reconsider its decision to reopen schools and colleges.

In this context, Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy held consultations with Ministers and officials at the General Secretariat on the opening of schools and colleges. 

The consultation meeting was attended by Higher Education Minister Anpalagan, School Education Minister Senkottayan and officials

It seems that the important announcement regarding the opening of schools and colleges will be released by this evening.
