The order to open school colleges in Tamil Nadu on November 16 has been canceled. 

Colleges and universities will open on December 2 for research students and postgraduate science and technology students only.

According to a press release issued by the government, there is a need to intensify immunization activities in Tamil Nadu as the second wave of corona infection is spreading abroad.

The order to open schools for classes 9, 10, 11 and 12 from November 16 has also been cancelled. 

Schools will be notified after opening date depending on the situation.

All research students, postgraduate science and technology students only, are ordered to open colleges / universities on December 2.

College opening date for other class students will be announced later. 

Hostels for students will be open only at colleges that open on December 2, and standard guidelines for colleges and hostels will be issued separately.

It noted that the existing e-learning system for other students will continue.
