Attempts have recently been made to bring the Disappearing Messages feature to Facebook's WhatsApp processor. The feature, which was previously in beta, has now been officially announced for use by the two billion users of WhatsApp. Control over sending messages is in the hands of users. You can use it if you want. Otherwise it can be turned off. However, the disappearance of messages sent in groups will be under the control of the respective groups' admin. WhatsApp has set a deadline of 7 days for messages to be sent.
The 'Disappearing Messages' feature is available with the WhatsApp web and desktop operating systems, including operating systems based on Android, iOS, and Linux.

The 'Disappearing Message' feature will automatically delete photos and videos after seven days. WhatsApp also claims that you can take screenshots before the messages disappear between the two parties, or copy the messages before they are automatically deleted (Copy OR BackUp) or save photos or other content by auto-downloading (AutoBackUp).
