Minister Senkottayan said the Half-year examination for government school students has been postponed and private schools can conduct online examinations if they wish.
Senkottaiyan started work in Modachur, Ayalur and Kalingiyam panchayats of Erode district at an estimated cost of Rs. 4 crore. He then told reporters that private schools could conduct the Half-year examination online if they wished.
He said that the subjects would be reduced by 50 per cent and the questions would be taken only from the subjects which were conducted and the examination schedule would be published in two to three days.
When asked about the CBSE's announcement that general examinations will be held for Classes 10, 11 and 12, he said that it was the position of the Central Government and not the position of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
