New Year celebrations banned in TN - Government of Tamil Nadu

The Tamil Nadu government has announced a ban on New Year celebrations as the spread of corona is likely to increase if the public gathers.

According to a press release issued by the government, restaurants, hostels and entertainment venues will not be allowed to hold the 2021 English New Year celebrations on the night of the 31st.

Also, it has been announced that the public will not be allowed on the beaches on the 31st and 1st as the 2021 English New Year celebration is not allowed on all beaches and roads. 

The public is also asked to follow corona prevention measures.
