Pandian Stores serial actress Chitra commits suicide by hanging, Police Suspects Suicide

Popular iconic actress Chitra has been found hanging in a private hotel near Poonamallee, police said. Police are investigating her husband and the hotel staff.

Chitra is the only daughter of Kamaraj, a retired Assistant Inspector of Police from Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai. She made his debut as a presenter on a private television channel in 2013 and later became famous for starring in TV series including commercials and the Pandian Store. V.J. 

They call him Sidhu. Chitra, who had a lively speech and a smiling face, also has a large fan base.

The engagement took place last August with the consent of both housemates to Chitra and Hemnath, who is in the home interior business. The couple got married on record last October. They had decided to invite everyone in January and get married.

Chitra has been shooting for the last few days at the EVP Filmcity next to Chennai Poonamallee. He took a room at a nearby private star hotel as the shooting ended at 1am and 2am and he could not go home in Thiruvanmiyur. Since the 4th of last month, her husband Hemnath has also been staying with her and taking her for filming.

As usual, the shooting ended at 2 am and the two returned to the hotel room.

In this situation, the management of a private hotel informed the Nazareth police that actress Chitra was picked up at around 2.30 pm.

Accordingly, the police rushed there and saw that Chitra's body was in bed. Chitra's body was reportedly unloaded by her husband Hemnath and hotel employee Ganesan. Hemant said he was dropped off for first aid and informed police after 108 ambulance crews arrived and said he was not alive.

During the police interrogation of Hemnath, Chitra confessed that he had told her to stay out of the room saying that he was going to take a bath and that the hotel employee had called Ganesan and opened the door with another key as he had not opened the door for a long time and Chitra was in a state of hanging from the fan.

Hemnath's claim that Chitra told him to go outside to take a bath has raised suspicions among the police. The question also arises as to why Chitra needs to send her husband out of the hotel room to take a bath.

Hemnath did not initially inform Chitra's family about this. The police have informed the family about his death.

Hemnath's confession was contradictory and he and hotel employee Ganesan were taken to the Nazareth police station and are being investigated by the police. Chitra has a bloody wound on her right cheek and jaw.

Police said he also had flesh and blood on his cheek. But no trace of lifting was recorded in the neck area. So, her friends have posted a video on social media saying that there is a mystery in Chitra’s death.

There is no key to the room where Chitra stayed. It can be opened by the card itself and the door will automatically close with a sledgehammer. So the police believe that it is not clear that Hemnath also claimed that Chitra had put a latch on the inside.

Meanwhile, Chitra's father Kamaraj has lodged a complaint at the Nazarethpet police station. He said he did not inform them that his daughter had any problems and demanded an inquest into the death.

RTO Lavanya examined Chitra's body which was kept at the Kilpauk Government Hospital in this condition. Chitra's body is to be autopsied on Thursday morning.

Actress Chitra's death has come as a shock not only to her fans but also to the iconic actors.

During the shooting, Chitra often spoke seriously to someone on her cell phone. That scene is recorded in a video taken by another actress.

So Chitra's cell phone was seized and an investigation is underway with the help of cyber crime police to find out who she last spoke to. Police are also investigating whether there are any major traces in his car.

Mysterious knots related to Chitra's death are expected to be unraveled soon as it will be clear at autopsy whether one died by hanging or not.
