Parents, students and educators will be consulted on the opening of the schools from today till the end of this week, said the Minister of School Education, Sengottayan.

He met reporters after launching the Pongal gift scheme in Erode district. He said that steps have been taken to provide laptops to the students as soon as the schools reopen and the schools are in the position of mother to leave the gap and seat the students as per the guidelines of the health department.

Responding to a report issued by the school education department regarding the provision of holidays for online classes for the Pongal festival, Senkottaiyan said all the recipe exams will be held for students writing the general exam.
