TN: No opportunity to open schools for 9th and 11th classes now

It is not possible to open schools for other classes in Tamil Nadu - Director of School Education

Tamil Nadu Director of School Education Kannabhan has said that there is no opportunity to open schools for 9th and 11th classes now.

Speaking to reporters in Chennai, he said that classes are conducted separately for 20 classrooms for 10th class and 20 classrooms for 12th class.

He said in such an environment 9th and 11th classes are not likely to start classes now. 

He said the welfare of students was important, adding that allowing more students would lead to a space crisis in schools and lead to epidemics.

He said that the government has given permission to carry out the general election in accordance with the relevant rules.
