Schools ready to welcome students!

With schools to be opened for class 10 and 12 students from tomorrow, preparations are on to ensure the safety of the students coming to school. 

As the government has announced that the public examination will be held compulsorily, the government had announced that the first classes for 10th and 12th class students will start tomorrow in order to prepare the students for it.

The coordination committee was also instructed to set up a coordination committee to monitor the safety of students and to clean the schools well before and after the schools were opened and closed. 

Further, students were asked to ensure personal gap and wash hands with disinfectant frequently.

Preparation spree is in progress. At this stage, Mr. V.K. Kannappan, Director of School Education, inspected the preparations in the higher secondary school.

Talking to reporters here, he said more than 1 crore vitamin pills were ready for distribution to the students. The thermal scanner, oxymeter, sanitizer, the body thermal testing device in schools, was also available.

It was advised to set up a coordination committee to monitor the safety of the students and to thoroughly clean the schools before and after they are closed.  


Meanwhile, speaking to reporters in Erode, Education Minister Senkottayan said all arrangements have been made to open the schools. 

Minister Senkottayan said committees have been set up for each district to monitor students as co-directors and deputy directors and the date of the general election will be finalized in consultation with the chief minister once the date of the assembly elections is announced.
