12th Public examination is scheduled to begin on May 3, the Department of Examinations informed district education officials.

Schools have been closed since the 3rd week of March last year due to a corona infection. Classes were conducted through online and educational television.

Thereafter, on January 19 last, schools were opened for 10th and 12th class students who were to write the general examination. Following that, classes for 9th and 11th classes started on the 8th.

In this context, it has been announced that the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections will be held on April 6, while the counting of votes will take place on May 2. This raised questions as to whether the Class 12 Public examination was scheduled to begin on May 3.

In this situation, the Class 12 Public examination will start on May 3 as planned, the selection department informed the district education officials.
