The Sri Lankan cricket team has toured the West Indies to play three Twenty20s, three ODIs and two Tests.

The first 20-over match between the two teams was played on Wednesday at Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua.

West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first. Sri Lanka scored 131 for 9 in 20 overs. Sri Lanka spinner Akila Tananjaya gave the West Indies a shock start from the start. West Indies lost three wickets in a row in the fourth over.

That's when the team's dangerous player, Captain Pollard, became the team's action player. Pollard chased down 6 sixes in Akila Tananjaya's over in the 6th over. Pollard was unbeaten on 38 as the West Indies went on to win by 134 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 13.1 overs.

Doubles were created in this match. Pollard became the third player to hit six sixes in a single over in an international match by hitting six sixes in Tananjaya's 6th over.

Earlier, Gibbs of South Africa in the 2007 ODI World Cup and Yuvraj Singh of India in the first Twenty20 World Cup in 2008 had hit six sixes off six balls.

Meanwhile, Sri Lankan spinner Akila Tananjaya became the 15th bowler to take a hat-trick in an international T20 match. But in the next over, West Indies captain Kieran Pollard smashed Tananjaya's total with his stunning sixes to give the team a win.
