1-Week Full Lockdown Without Relaxations In Tamil Nadu

Full curfew extension for one more week in Tamil Nadu without any relaxation

According to a statement issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu: -

The existing curfew to control the spread of corona Pandemic will be fully implemented in Tamil Nadu from 24.05.2021 for one more week without any relaxation.

* This full curfew will come into effect from the morning of 24.05.2021.

Only the following activities will be allowed during this entire curfew. They are: -


* Pharmacies, country drug stores, veterinary pharmacies.

* Milk supply, drinking water and daily newspaper distribution.

* Vegetables, fruits and horticulture required by the general public will be provided by vehicles in the city of Chennai and in all districts in collaboration with the concerned local bodies.

* In the General Secretariat and in the districts, only the essential departments will function.

* Employees of private companies, banks, insurance companies, information technology companies, etc., are asked to work from home.

* Electronic service (E-commerce) can be operated from 08.00 am to 06.00 pm.

* Only parcel service is allowed in restaurants from 6.00 am to 10.00 pm, from 12.00 noon to 3.00 pm and from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm. Food distribution companies such as Swiggy and Zomato through e-commerce will only be allowed at the above times.

* Petrol and diesel stocks will run as usual.

* ATMs and their services will be allowed.

* Will be allowed to carry agricultural produce and inputs.

* Trucks will be allowed to move and carry essential items.

* Will be allowed with e-registration to leave the district only for relevant medical reasons and deaths.

* No e-registration required to travel within the district for medical reasons.

* News and media companies can operate as usual.

* Continuous Process Industries, Continuous Process Industries, Essential Commodities and Medical Equipment Factories (Industries Manufacturing Essential Commodities and Medical Equipment) will be allowed as per the guidelines already stated.
