Plus-2 Mark calculation: Announcement by Chief Minister MK Stalin
Due to corona infection, the public examination for +2 students was canceled.
Since a Plus-2 score is essential for higher education admissions, a committee was set up to look into how to award marks to them and to inform the Government of the guidelines for that.
First Minister MK Stalin held a consultation with education officials at the Chennai General Secretariat yesterday on the grading system for Plus-2 students.

In this situation, Chief Minister MK Stalin today announced the system of giving marks to 12th class students. He said:
* 50 percent marks will be calculated in the 10th class public examination. The average of the 3 subjects who got high marks in 10th class will be taken into account.
* 20 percent will be calculated from the 11th class public examination. Only the written mark obtained in each subject will be calculated.
* For those who did not participate in the 11th and 12th class Practical exams, the 10th and 11th written test marks will be converted into Practical exam marks.
* Students who have failed the Class 11 written examination will be given 35 percent marks.
* Those who do not appear in the 11th and 12th class Practical and aptitude tests will be considered as separate candidates.
* Students who are not satisfied with the assessment system will be given the opportunity to write the exam.
* 12th Exam result will be announced on July 31st
