In it, Elon Musk said that keeping clean energy vehicles, petrol and diesel vehicles at the same standard without discrimination was not entirely in line with India's climate-related goals.
Tesla, which plans to launch sales in India this year, has written to federal ministries and the finance commission asking them to reduce import duties on fully assembled electric cars by up to 40 per cent.
