The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released a revised and improved syllabus for the Integrated Civil Services Examination. Recently, the government has announced that the Tamil language is compulsory in the TNPSC competitive examinations and the Commission has also released the new syllabus and examination sample question paper which has been revised by the government.


The Government of Tamil Nadu is recruiting the required staff for various departments through the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC). The Tamil Nadu Civil Service Selection Board conducts various competitions and interviews to find talented employees. These exams are Group 1, Group 2, Group 3 and Group 4 and Group 5,6,7,8 based on government jobs.

TNPSC Group 2 & Group 4 Exam New Syllabus 2022


TNPSC President Balachandran had recently announced that Group 2, Group 4 and Group 2A exams would not be held for the last 2 years due to COVID-19 Pandemic, while Group 2 exams will be held in February 2022 and Group 4 exams in March


Following this, the Commission has issued a sample question paper for the primary examinations along with the present syllabus. Those who are interested can view the revised syllabus through the official website of TNPSC tnpsc.gov.in

TNPSC 2022 Paper-I

This will be the mandatory Tamil qualification sheet of the SSLC standard (10th grade). These include translation, precision writing, comprehension, note development, essay writing (general), letter writing (official) and general knowledge of the Tamil language.

TNPSC 2022 Paper-II

The second paper, following the descriptive type method, will be the graduation standard general examination paper. This paper should be fully answered in English or Tamil. 

Please note that answer sheets for Paper-II will not be considered for applicants who fail to obtain the minimum qualifying marks in Paper I.
