Tamil Nadu government today (31-03-2021,Wednesday) announced that existing restrictions on the corona virus will be extended till April 30 to control the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic
Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary Rajeev Ranjan has said that the curfew has been extended across Tamil Nadu under the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
Highlight:
Tamil Nadu government has issued a lockdown till April 30 with relaxations to prevent the spread of corona again.
On March 23, the Union Home Ministry (MHA) issued guidelines for the implementation of the "Test-Track-Treat" protocol. It is noteworthy that all international flights are prohibited, except in terms permitted with relaxations.
The Government of Tamil Nadu has further stated that newly diagnosed Coronavirus patients will be isolated quickly and treated in a timely manner. Corona is also advised to find those associated with the victims early.
The Government of Tamil Nadu has announced that it will act in accordance with the recommended guidelines to prevent violations in the control zones where corona is highly contagious and to prevent further spread of COVID-19.
The following control measures will be followed within the Containment Zones:
- Only allowed to purchase essential items.
- Strict perimeter control.
- Intensive monitoring from house to house.
- Surveillance should be carried out for influenza-like illness (ILI) and acute respiratory infections (SARI).
- It is the responsibility of local district authorities, police and municipal authorities to ensure that people strictly follow the recommended control measures.
- District administrators must ensure the wearing of masks, the use of disinfectants and the observance of social distance.
The corona curfew that began in March last year has not completely disappeared today. The curfew was imposed with some relaxation as the corona spread came under control. But once again the corona wave is spreading rapidly across the country, creating a fear among the people. Statistics show that corona infection is prevalent in Tamil Nadu, especially in Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Coimbatore and Thanjavur districts.
Therefore, the Tamil Nadu government has issued a lockdown till April 30 with relaxations to prevent the spread of corona again
